Farmer's Markets Galore (El mercado de granjeros de Galore)

Hola a todos. Espero que el fin de semana esté yendo bien para vosotros.

At Friday's Farmer's Market in Olde Towne Gaithersburg, my friend went with me to help out since she came to visit me for my birthday. While we were at the market, we had sold 5 Napkin Rings with Napkins, 5 Tissue Carriers, 3 Crayon Carriers and 1 Phone Sock. This was all in a span of 10 minutes before 7 pm (time the market ends) between two customers! We were very happy to see how much had been bought. Unfortunately, as we were trying to pack up for the evening, a big gust of wind came and made the gazebo we've been using fly up into the air and one of its legs broke off and hit a tree near where the market is held! We were very lucky that no one had gotten hurt!

En el mercado de granjeros del viernes en Olde Towne Gaitherburg, mi amigo vina conmigo a ayudar desde que vino a visitarme por mi cumpleaños. Mientras estábamos en el mercado, vendimos 5 servilleteros con sus servilletas, 5 porta-tissues, 3 estuches de lápices y 1 calcetín para el móvil. Esto fue todo en un espacio de 10 minutos antes de las 7pm (hora en que el mercado termina) entre dos clientes. Estábamos muy felices de ver cuánto había sido comprado. Desafortunadamente, como estábamos intentando empaquetar por la noche, una gran ráfaba de viento vino e hizo que la mesa que hemos estado usando volara por los aires y una de sus patas se desprendió y chocó contra un árbol cerca del mercado. Tuvimos mucha suerte de que nadie se hiciera daño.

At Saturday's Main Street Farmer's Market in Kentlands, my friend couldn't come with me this time since she had to head to the airport and catch her flight back home (I was a little late to the market since I went to take her). Once her plane landed, I told her how we had done for the day. She was very happy to hear all about it. While I was at the market, we sold 2 Crayon Carriers, 2 Phone Socks (one was with the National Kidney Foundation's colors), and 1 Tissue Carrier. The weather yesterday was a little breezy, but since I ended up being under the Pavilion where the market is held, the wind wasn't as bad as it had been Friday afternoon into the evening in Olde Towne Gaithersburg.

En la calle principal del mercado en Kentlands, el sábado, mi amiga no pudo venir conmigo esta vez ya que debía ir al aeropuerto y coger su vuelo de regreso a casa (era un poco tarde desde que se fue ella). Una vez que el avión aterrizó, le dije lo que habíamos hecho durante el día. Ella estaba muy contenta de saberlo todo. Mientras yo estaba en el mercado, vendimos 2 portalápices, 2 calcetines de teléfonos (uno con los colores de la Fundación Nacional del Riñón) y un porta-tissues. El tiempo de ayer fue un poco ventoso, pero desde que terminé estando bajo el pabellón, donde se celebra el mercado, el viento no era tan malo como lo fue el viernes por la noche en el Olde Towne. Gaithersburg.

Along with selling tons of knitted items at both markets, I got an order to make a Door Hanger. I'm going to start working on that this afternoon. The Door Hanger is going to have the words: "Sleeping Do Not Disturb". The background color will be red with black writing. Once that is finished, I'm going to take a picture and put it on the Knitting By Leah Pictures Section.

Junto con la venta de toneladas de artículos de punto en ambos mercados, conseguí un pedido para hacer un aviso en la puerta. Voy a empezar a trabajar en él esta tarde. El cartel colgado en la puerta va a tener las palabras: SLEEPING, DO NOT DISTURB (Durmiendo, no molestar). El color de fondo será de color rojo con la escritura en negro. Una vez lo haya terminado, voy a tomar una foto y la pondré en la sección de fotos de Knitting By Leah.
