Unity Festival and Mahjong Bags (Festival de la unidad y bolsos Mahjong)

Hello everyone.  I hope the weekend is going well so far for you.

Since the Unity Festival is coming up in May (May 4th), I have decided to try and knit some Mahjong Bags using the colors:  Green with White, White with Pink, Solid White, Solid Green, Solid Pink.  They make great gifts for the Mahjong player!  You can use the bags for keeping the rules of the game and also your winnings.  Come and pick your favorite combination!  The Unity Festival will be from 11 am-2 pm at Long Branch Community and Senior Center, 8700 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring, MD 20901.  Please save the date!  I hope to see you there!

Farmer's Markets, Baby Bazaars & Other Events (Los mercados del agricultor, bazares del bebé & otros acontecimientos)

Well, it's that time of the year again when the Farmer's Markets get started for the season.  This year, I have decided not to be part of the Farmer's Market at Kentlands.  Instead of being at the Kentlands, I'm planning to try other markets.  I'm also going to try to be part of the Baby Bazaar and the Unity Festival both coming up in May.  The Baby Bazaar will be held in Gaithersburg, Maryland while the Unity Festival will be held in Silver Spring, Maryland (more details to come in another posting).  I'm hoping to get a lot of knitting done in time for all the events-- especially the Baby Bazaar and Unity Festival!  I want to knit some baby blankets with hoods and some cute baby booties if there's some extra time.
Bien, es que el tiempo del año otra vez cuando los Mercados del Agricultor empiezan para la temporada. Este año, he decidido no ser la parte del Mercado del Agricultor en Kentlands. En vez de estar en Kentlands, planeo intentar otros mercados. También voy a tratar de ser la parte del Bazar del Bebé y el Festival de la Unidad amba subida en mayo. Today, I plan to start knitting my first baby blanket for the year.  It's going to be knitted by using variegated yarn.  When I have the blanket completed, I'll try to add a few pictures of it to the next posting I end up doing at a later date.

New Rainbow Colored Hood (Nuevo Arco iris Capucha Coloreada)

Yesterday afternoon, I had knitted a very soft and colorful rainbow hood.  The yarn I had used is variegated.  The yarn is from the Rainbow Classics brand.  Once the hood is completed, I'll post a picture of it in the next few weeks.

Speaking of new types of yarn, I'm going to start knitting a scarf using the same Rainbow Classics yarn this afternoon and use it for the new Farmer's Market season coming up in May.

It's the New Year-- 2013! (¡Es el Año nuevo - 2013!)

For this new year's resolution, we will knit more and also knit some new items.  We also will try to get more items posted for both the web site and the on-line store at ecrater.com.  Once we can get all that done, expect to see more pictures coming in the next few weeks.  You'll be very surprised!
