Hello everyone!  I hope you're having a wonderful President's Day Weekend.
 ¡Hola cada uno! Espero que tenga un maravilloso Fin de semana del Día presidencial.

During the Olney Winter Farmer's Market at the Sandy Spring Museum, I took a picture of the musical performance by, " Pat O'Neill's Band".  They were really great!  I hope they can come back to perform for the market again.
Durante el Mercado del Agricultor de Invierno Olney en el Museo de Sandy Spring, tomé un cuadro del rendimiento musical por, "el Grupo de Pat O'Neill". ¡Eran realmente grandes! Espero que puedan volver para funcionar para el mercado otra vez.

I would like to thank those who had been to the market and stopped at the table to buy hats, tissue carriers, crayon carriers and a few hoods.  I'd also like to thank those who took business cards.

Winter Storm (Tormenta de invierno)

Today we had another Winter storm.  Since the storm came (and more is on its way tonight), I decided to do some knitting this afternoon.  I knitted another hat, but this one is made with Simply Soft brand yarn.  It's a dark green. I'm planning to bring it with me to the upcoming Indoor Farmer's Market for Olney-Sandy Spring Museum on Sunday if I can get there (if they still have the market and if the weather cooperates with everyone).  Depending on what happens, the market will be starting at 10 am and go until 2 pm.
Hoy teníamos otra tormenta de Invierno. Ya que la tormenta vino (y más está en su camino esta noche), decidí hacer un poco de labor de punto esta tarde. Tejí otro sombrero, pero éste se hace con el hilo de la marca Simplemente Suave. Es un verde oscuro. Planeo traerlo conmigo al Mercado del Agricultor de Interior próximo para el Museo de Olney-Sandy Spring el domingo si me puedo poner allí (si todavía tienen el mercado y si el tiempo coopera con cada uno). Según lo que pasa, el mercado comenzará a las 10:00 e ir hasta las 14:00.

Aquí están algunos cuadros que tomé de otro sombrero que tejí hace unas semanas. El otro cuadro es de la tormenta de hoy.

Knitted Hand Warmer (Mano tejida más caliente)

Here is a knitted Hand Warmer I just finished a few days ago.  They come in any color you choose.  They are made with cotton yarn and beans to be placed inside.  You can put your hand inside the pocket and the other on top of the Warmer.  A great way to keep warm during the cold Winter months! 

Aquí está una Mano tejida Más caliente sólo terminé hace unos días. Vienen a cualquier color que elija. Se hacen con hilo de algodón y alubias colocarse dentro. Puede poner su mano dentro del bolsillo y otro encima del Más caliente. ¡Una gran manera mantenerse caliente durante los meses del invierno frío.

 

 

Olney's Winter Farmer's Market (Jan. 19th) (El mercado del agricultor de invierno de Olney (el 19 de enero))

This is a picture taken on January 19th at the Olney Winter Farmer's Market in the Olney-Sandy Spring Museum.  We'd like to thank those who had been to the market and bought some of our newest items.  We also would like to thank those who took business cards.

Here are some pictures I took recently of a Kindle Cover and a Scarf I knitted a few weeks ago.  I have a feeling you will love how they turned out.
Aquí están algunos cuadros que tomé recientemente de una Tapa Encender y una Bufanda que tejí hace unas semanas. Tengo un sentimiento que amará cómo resultaron.

As a quick reminder, I will be at the Sandy Spring Museum in Olney, Maryland from 10 am-2 pm for the Indoor Winter Farmer's Market on Sunday, January 19, 2014.  I will have some new Hats and other items for Valentine's Day.  The market is near Sherwood High School.  I hope to see you then!

Knitted Christmas Stocking (Media de Navidad tejida)

Here is a Christmas Stocking that I knitted.  The Stocking has a loop at the top so that it could be hung up.

In other knitting and holiday news, I'm going to work on getting ready for the upcoming Winter Market for Olney.  I'm going to knit some items for Valentine's Day.  One item will be a Tissue Carrier with a heart-shaped button.  The Tissue Carrier will be at the market on January 19th.
En otra labor de punto y noticias de vacaciones, voy a trabajar en la preparación para el Mercado de Invierno próximo para Olney. Voy a tejer algunos artículos durante el Día de San Valentín. Un artículo será un Transportista del Tejido con un botón en forma de corazón. El Transportista del Tejido estará en el mercado el 19 de enero.

First Baptist Church of Gaithersburg's Holiday Craft Mart 2013 (Primera iglesia bautista del mercado del arte de vacaciones de Gaithersburg 2013)

Here is a picture from the First Baptist Church of Gaithersburg's Holiday Craft Mart held on December 7th (see below).
Aquí está un cuadro de la primera Iglesia bautista del Arte de Vacaciones de Gaithersburg que Mart sostuvo el 7 de diciembre (véase abajo).

During the Holiday Craft Mart, some of the other Vendors were selling jewelery,  baby dolls, pictures of animals from Africa, crocheted items and much more.
Durante el Mercado del Arte de Vacaciones, algunos otros Vendedores vendían jewelery, las muñequitas, los cuadros de los animales de África, hicieron ganchillo artículos y mucho más.

There was a group singing and an alpaca that the children could pet.  One of the Vendors was teaching how to make the wool from the alpaca into yarn.
Había un canto del grupo y una alpaca que los niños podrían el animal doméstico. Uno de los Vendedores daba clases cómo hacer la lana de la alpaca en el hilo.

I would like to thank those who came to the table and bought items for this cold Winter season.  I plan to knit a couple more scarves, hoods and hats very soon.  If there is a last minute gift you need, please let me know and I can get it to you (knittingbyleah@yahoo.com).
