October 3rd Farmers Market

Today, at the Farmers Market in Kentlands, we (the Vendors) had a pot luck lunch. Everything was delicious! There was stew, chili, cous cous, different types of salads, and more! We all had a great time.

Hoy, en el mercado de granjeros en Kentlands, nosotros (los vendedores) tuvimos un almuerzo (pot luck lunch). ¡Todo estaba delicioso! Había cocido, chili, cous cous, diferentes tipos de ensaladas y más. Todos disfrutamos mucho.

Speaking of the Farmers Market, I would like to thank those that had bought crayon carriers and three maroon and orange colored phone socks. The money donated from the maroon and orange phone socks will help the National Kidney Foundation greatly.

Hablando del mercado de granjeros, me gustaría agradecer a todos aquellos que compraron estuches para lápices y tres calcetines para el móvil marrón y naranja. El dinero donado de esos calcetines de móvil marrón y naranja ayudará ampliamente al National Kidney Foundation.

Black Headband & Other News

Good morning everyone!

¡Buenos días a todos!

Today, I'm going to be working on a black colored winter headband. It's going to have ribbing going around it. I plan on taking some pictures once the headband is completed. The pictures will be posted on the Knitting By Leah Pictures section in the next few days.

Hoy, voy a estar trabajando en una banda de invierno para la cabeza coloreada en negro. Va a tener un "ribbing" (es un diseño concreto) alrededor de ella. Planeo tomar algunas fotos una vez que la banda esté terminada. Las fotos serán publicadas en la sección de "fotos" de Knitting By Leah en los próximos días.

Speaking of knitting items, I'm going to be working on another poncho. It's going to have sage green and rose colored yarn. The poncho will also have fringe near the bottom. The pattern's stitch that I plan on using will be v-shaped. I know it'll look fantastic!

Hablando de objetos de tejidos en lana, voy a estar trabajando en otro poncho. Va a estar hecha de hilos de colores verde y rosa. El poncho también tendrá una franja en la parte inferior. El patrón y la puntada que se va a utilizar será en forma de V. Sé que os parecerá fantástico.

September 26th Farmer's Market

Good evening everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful start to the weekend.

Buenas tardes a todos. Espero que estéis teniendo 0un maravilloso comienzo de fin de semana.

As you can see from the picture above, it is from today's Farmer's Market that was held at the Main Street Pavilion area of Kentlands. Since it is getting to be colder and winter will be here, I thought I'd put out some scarves, hoods, and some holiday gift ideas. If there is anything that you may be interested in, please let me know.

Como podéis ver en la foto de arriba, es de hoy del mercado de granjeros que está ubicado en el Pavellón de l a calle principal del área de Kentlands. Como ya pronto estarán aquí la época del frío y el invierno, pensé en mostrar algunas bufandas, capuchas, gorros y algunas ideas para Navidad. Si hay algo que os pueda interesar, hacédmelo saber.

Speaking of the Farmer's Market and knitted items, I'd like to thank everyone who had been to my table and bought a baby blanket, two scrunchies, a headband, and two phone socks. I would also like to thank those who had also taken some business cards, as well.

While we were at our booth, an actress from the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center at Montgomery College came to our booth and tried on a very cute zebra scarf that has ears and a mane.

We are having a contest! The contest is to think of ideas for new uses for the items that we already have. My friend, Clara came up with the idea of using phone socks and crayon carriers to carry and conceal feminine hygiene products. The winner gets a FREE phone sock, kleenex carrying case or crayon carrier. The deadline for the contest is November 14th.

Hemos organizado un concurso! El concurso es para pensar en ideas para nuevos usos para los productos que ya tenemos. Mi amiga, Clara se le ocurrió la idea de usar calcetines de teléfonos móviles y los estuches para lápices para llevar y ocultar productos de higiene femenina. El ganador recibe un calcetín de teléfono móvil gratuito, un guarda-kleenex o un estuche de lápices. La fecha límite de recibir ideas para el concurso es 14 de noviembre.

In other news, the Knitting By Leah web site has gone bilingual! From now on, we are going to try and add Spanish translation into our web site with the postings. The first posting we will be working on is the "Holiday Pictures" posting. I would like to thank my friend for helping me with this.
