Farmer's Market Update and Knitting Projects (La actualización del mercado de granjeros y los proyectos de punto)

This morning, I found out that when we start on May 12th at the Farmer's Market in Kentlands, our spot under the pavilion is no longer going to be number 8.  The new spot will be number 5.  Please look for Knitting By Leah on the sign attached to the table we will be bringing with us for the day.  The market is from 10 am-2 pm.
Esta mañana, me he encontrado que cuando empezamos el 12 de mayo los mercados de granjeros en Kentlands, nuestro nuestro lugar en el pabellón no va a ser el número 8. El nuevo lugar será el número 5. Por favor, busca Knitting By Leah en el cartel pegado a la mesa que traeremos con nosotros para ese día. El mercado es de 10 am-2pm

Speaking of the Farmer's Market, I started working on some Phone Socks and a Crayon Carrier (all knit using variegated Mexicana colored yarn).  One of the Phone Socks has holes for the draw string to go through.  It looks really great!  The Crayon Carrier also has a draw string and a FREE note pad for either children to draw on for long trips, or a person to use during a meeting.
Hablando del mercado de granjeros, empezamos a trabajar en algunos calcetines de móvil y estuches de lápices (todos los hilos que usamos son hilos de colores jaspeados Mexicana). Uno de los calcetines para teléfonos tiene agujeros pora la antena y el cargador. Es genial. El estuche para lápices también tiene una cadeneta y un bloc gratis para que los niños puedan dibujar en viajes largos, o una persona pueda utilizarlo en una reunión.

A Beautiful Day for Knitting (Un bonito día para hacer punto)

It's a beautiful day for knitting!  I'm going to do some extra knitting to get ready for the upcoming Farmer's Markets starting in May.  I want to start working on a few baby blankets and some shopping  bags.  I'm thinking about knitting the bags first since this gives me a chance to put some decorations on the front side.
Es un bonito día para tejer. Voy a hacer punto extra para estar preparada para los próximos mercados de granjeros que comenzarán en mayo. Quiero empezar a trabajar en unas pocas de mantitas para bebé y algunas bolsas de la compra. Estoy pensando en tejer bolsas primero desde que ésto me da la oportunidad para poner decoraciones en la parte frontal.

For the baby blankets, some will be knitted in variegated colored cotton yarn.  But, other blankets will also be knitted by using acrylic yarn.Para las mantitas de bebé, algunas serán tejidas en hilo del algodón de colores jaspeado. Pero, otras mantis serán tejidas usando hilo acrílico.

Knitting Up a Storm (Tejiendo una tormenta)

This week, I plan to do a lot of knitting so that I can be ready for the start of the Farmer's Markets here in Gaithersburg, MD, at the Kentlands.  The plan is to start knitting some new, hooded baby blankets, more phone socks that are with and without variegated yarn, some dish cloths and a few tissue carriers.  I'm hoping to get all of this done by the time the May 12th Farmer's Market is suppose to be scheduled.
Esta semana planeo hacer muchísimo punto así que yo puedo estar preparada para empezar los mercados de granjeros aquí en Gaithersburg, Md, en el Kentlands. El plan es empezar a tejer algo nuevo, mantitas con capucha para bebés, más calcetínes para móviles que estén hechos con y sin hilo jaspeado, algunos paños de cocina y algunos porta-tissues. Espero esté todo hecho a tiempo para el mercado de granjeros del próximo 12 de mayo, que es la fecha que se supone será celebrada.
