The Kentlands Market (9-29-12)

Good afternoon everyone!  I hope you're having a wonderful start to the weekend.

At today's Farmer's Market in the Kentlands area, the temperature was quite chilly.  I'm hoping it'll be a little warmer next weekend.

While at the market, we sold a Phone Sock and a Yarn Necklace.  We would like to thank those who had asked for business cards for themselves and their friends.

We hope to see all of you next Thursday at Damascus High School and also on Saturday for the market in Kentlands, again.  We plan to have more winter items with us for both markets.

Have a great rest of the weekend!  More knitting news to come soon.

Kentlands Market, Upcoming Holiday Events, Gifts

Hello everyone!  Sorry I hadn't done too much posting lately, but I had been under the weather last week.

Starting today, I started knitting a baby hat that I had planned to do last week.  Once the hat is completed, I plan to post a few pictures for you all to see in the next few weeks.

At the Kentlands market yesterday, I sold a Peruvian Print colored hood.  I plan to knit a few more in the next few weeks since the weather is getting cooler and that one particular hood seems to be a favorite a lot of the Customers tend to buy the most.

Starting in November, I plan to be a Vendor for the Craft Bazaars and other holiday-themed events for the Mill Creek Parish Church and also at the First Baptist Church in Gaithersburg.  More information will be posted for both events in the next few weeks.  Please look for the posting starting mid-October.

Since it's getting closer to the holiday season, I'm taking orders for gifts to be made.  If you want to place an order, please send an e-mail to:  knittingbyleah@yahoo.com and include your specific colors, sizes, type of style and when the item is needed to be completed for pick up.

Well, this is all for right now.  I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  More knitting news to come soon.

The Markets & Upcoming Projects

Good afternoon everyone.  I hope you're having a wonderful start to the weekend.

At the Farmer's Markets, the weather was perfect!  It was a little windy, but not too bad for both days.

On Thursday, at Damascus High School, we sold Dish Cloths and Phone Socks.  The Phone Socks that were sold had been knitted by using yarn in the colors of the National Kidney Foundation (NKF).  We would like to thank those who are purchasing the orange and maroon colored Phone Socks to help with donations to the NKF.

While we were at the high school, there was a Back-To-School event for the parents.  Some of the parents stopped at our table and took business cards.

As for today's market in Kentlands, we sold Kindle/Nook Covers and more Dish Cloths.  We also got an order for a baby hat to be knitted.  The hat is going to be green and blue colored.  It's also going to be knitted using cotton yarn.

Well, this is all for now.  More knitting news to come soon.

September 8th Farmer's Market Thank You

Well, it sure was a very interesting day yesterday at the Farmer's Market in the Kentlands area.  First, the temperature reached to be near the 90's and was very hot.  Then, by the time it was time to clean up for the day, the wind started to come.

We would like to thank those who came and bought Soap Socks and Crayon Carriers.  We also would like to thank those who took business cards, as well.  It was nice to see so many Customers coming to see what we all had for sale.

Next week, we plan to have sales for the early holiday shopping season.  So, please come to our table and either place an order for a holiday gift (we have a form for orders), or purchase one on the spot at that moment!  We are bringing hoods and other winter related items with us.  Hope to see you there!

Well, this is all for right now.  More knitting news to come soon.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Stay  safe!
